Introduction

Within year 1 i focused on a 2 minute opening to a film which was a thriller genre film. I explored to limits of what i could do within a opening allowing me to experiment with what i had. I was able to experience what filming a narrative structure piece was like and this then taught me about structure and taught me how i would use my research in order for my media product to either conform or subvert the stereotypes. I also learnt how to plan and use my time wisely. What i am wanting to do this year is to be able to work on my own so i am able to get my media piece exactly the way i want it, this will also help improve planning because i would be the only one that is needed so it will be easier to plan things. I am also going to explore the idea of a short film which is going to have a drama/documentary genre and structure.
What i am looking to get out of this year is the ability to express my feelings through my media product and allow my research to completely influence and determine the way in which my media product will unravel and unwind. I am going to focus more on research this year because i think it will effect the successfulness of my my product.
