Ident design- editing

Image
When creating my ident for my film I wanted to use a photograph I had taken and I wanted it to be quite natural. This is why I chose a photograph of flowers which I decided to place on the top of a black background. I thought that the black background would make it look right when I place it with the film. I selected the part which I liked the best and positioned it in the centre of the frame. I then decided to use the first letter of my production companies name which is E for Electric productions. I wanted the flowers making the letter so I inserted the image into the outline which make it so you could only see what was inside the outline.  When deciding on a font I could use for my title I wanted something bold and something that would stand out. When creating my titles in my film I wanted to use a simple font which is why I chose the font I did. I thought by choosing this font I would then highlight the importance of the text and what it is saying. I wanted to include facts about autism to make it educational which adds another dimension to the film. The text is all situated in the centre of the frame which is typically where is it in other short films/ films, definitely when you look at the credits at the end. I ending them so they scrolled up like professional credits which looks really effective, I again used the same font.

Sounds- editing

When editing my sound I wanted to emphasise certain aspects of it to create the idea that people which autism experience things differently. I decided to use Adobe Audition to do this. It was very straightforward to use after researching methods on youtube. Once I had selected the sound that I wanted to edit I then placed it into Audition. I then placed a filter on it which allowed me to change the levels of the clip which in turn changed how it sounded. I wanted to amplify it and change the pitch. I changed several levels, hearing the difference every time to se whether it was what I wanted. I then found a section where I could amplify certain pieces of the clip I again altered it slightly then listened for the change, I wanted to also include a slight echo to create the idea that autistic people almost hear sound bouncing off of the walls. I did this with the majority of my sound clips which I then decided to overlay to create intensified sound.
