10. A short film in its entirety, lasting approximately five minutes, which may be live action or animated or a combination of both, together with two of the following three options:

• a poster for a film
• a radio trailer for the film
• a film magazine review page featuring the film

The OCR specification listed different choices we could explore ranging from a newspaper to a short film.
Why have i chosen to produce a short film?

• I have chosen to produce a short film because last year me and my partner decided to produce a film opening which i found that limited the skill that we could show within our work because we were limited to the shots we could use. 
• Another reason why i have chosen to produce a short film is because ill be able to experiment with editing and the shots that i could use. 

Which two options have i chosen to do?

• The reason why i have chosen to do a poster for my film is because it is something i have never done before and i wanted to see what skills i could incorporate into it. I also wanted to explore other ways of advertising my film.
• The other ancillary that i have chosen to do is a film magazine review page featuring the page. I have decided to do this because again it isn't something that im used to doing. This also gives me a chance to show what i can do on photoshop.

Examples of a film poster

These film posters feature either famous references to the films or the main characters that are in it. They also have the name of the film on it as well as the people who act in it. It also has to be eye catching and recognisable, the viewer needs to remember the poster in order to be interested in watching the film. 

Examples of magazine reviews

The magazine normally includes screenshots of the film which are pleasing and catches the eyes of the viewer. It also shows the name of the film and includes a review of the film. The image is normally very big in order to catch the eyes of the viewer and takes up about half of the page.
