Planning- casting

When choosing my actor to play Charlie I immediately thought of this actor who I had seen act in a short film Cargo Shorts which explores siblings reenacting their parents arguments. I thought he was the perfect person for the part so I decided to contact him asking whether he would be able to act in my short film. Due to his age I had to get consent from his mum, which was easy because I decided to cast her in my short film as well because when I met up with them to discuss the role I thought the connection that they had could be really effective in my short film so I decided to cast her.
