Planning- Mothers costume

For the mothers costume I wanted to keep with the monochrome theme. I am wanting her to be wearing a white shirt, black jumper/cardigan, black jeans and black shoes.  I wanted the mum to be represented as a stereotypical person and 'normal'. I wanted to create this idea because I wanted to highlight that people who are effected by autism are no different and they shouldn't be seen as someone who should be pitied. 

When researching autism I found out that people who have autism normally want situations to be simplistic, for example eating the same, specific food and doing the same things, by having the clothes monochrome allows me to emphasise this idea to the audience it also highlights how important it is and allows the audience to experience what someone with autism might experience. With Charlie mirroring what his mother is wearing almost creates the idea that even though he has autism he can still do things like follow in his mother footsteps not only her actions.
