Post production- Editing software

The software which I am going to be using to edit my footage is Premier Pro. I am wanting to use this software because i am used to the layout and due to using it before I am almost familiar with what each tool does. Also with it being very popular there are loads of youtube tutorials on how to use it and I will then be able to learn some techniques which I will be able to incorporate into my own work. I could have used movie maker but I think that I would be limited to what I could do with the software even though it would have been easier to follow.
