Film poster- Editing drawing design

I gathered photographs of both the actor and spiderman and put them into photoshop.

I then cropped them so both of the photographs were only half of the original image.

I had to crop the photograph of the image of the actor in order for the photos to be just of his face, which would then reflect the image of spiderman.
When putting the two photographs together I had to line the heads and the features up in order for the final outcome to look effective.

After the design was complete on photoshop I printed it then drew the design out onto paper. I was then able to scan the drawing into photoshop which I was then able to incorporate it into my final product.
The idea behind the drawing design is that due to Charlie's autism he relates to spiderman a lot, with heightened senses. With one half of the design being the boy and the other half being spiderman a direct connection is made between them, it is almost being implied that he is spiderman. With a connection to a superhero Charlie could be presented as being one himself due to an advancement in maths and sciences. The idea that it has been drawn emphasises the fact that people with autism see things/situations in black and white. Within my piece you can see the recurrence of spiderman, through the use of toys and kitchenalia.
